TypeScript is a superset of Javascript and is the preferred language when developing enterprise applications and working in the Flatfile Platform SDK. TypeScript was born to bridge the gaps that exist in Javascript when writing client-side and server-side applications.

Typescript is simple to learn and improve your skills over time, especially if you already know Javascript. Of course Javascript will work, but we highly recommend using Typescript so we can better support you.
