This article is for Flatfile's Portal 2.0, Portal 3.0, and Workspaces. If you'd like to check out the latest version of the Flatfile Data Exchange Platform, click here!

When reviewing your data in Portal 3.0 and Workspaces, you have the ability to sort columns based on the information within to help you organize your data for review more easily. You can also pin up to three columns to the left side of your screen so they can be referenced as you scroll to view the rest of your data.

To sort or pin a column, hover over the column name at the top of your grid. You'll see an arrow icon and a pin icon appear. The arrow can be selected to order the column, and columns can be sorted by value in both ascending and descending order. When selected, the arrow will appear blue to indicate that the column is being sorted. To stop sorting, click the arrow again until it is gone.

To pin the column, hover over the column name and select the pin icon. It will be brought to the far left edge of your sheet. To unpin the column, select the pin icon again.

Please note: if there are null or blank entries in any of your cells, they will be sorted to the bottom of the list regardless of the sort order you have selected.
