The NumberField and SmartDateField field types have built-in validations from Flatfile. If you are experiencing an error with data in one of these field types, you should check that it meets the following criteria:
NumberField: The Number field can contain only numbers. Any symbols, including commas or currency symbols, will cause an error.
SmartDateField: The SmartDateField can receive dates in a number of formats and return a date. Values that cannot be read will throw an error.
