Developer Mode enables you to explore and test without affecting any of your active projects. You can create multiple environments in the latest version of Flatfile to test different things in a developer mode state. In version 3.0 of the Flatfile Portal, you can toggle between two modes - production, and development.

You can think of developer mode as a kind of testbed, where there is nothing you can permanently break or change. Developer mode lets you experiment with the settings of your Dashboard safely, and lets you find what works best for you and your team without putting anything at risk.
