Relational data allows you to link data templates together and validate relationships between datasets. At its core, relational data is a new type of data field designation available when you set up a data template.

Relational data can sometimes look like a simple link between two fields in two different data templates. However, the relationship between the data templates is much deeper. When properly set up, relational data links one field in one data set to an entire, second data set.

For more information about setting up and using relational data, see our relational data guide. Please note that relational data is currently only available for Workspaces.

If you do not see this template linking feature in your template config, please request access from your onboarding specialist or reach out to support@flatfile.com.
