Customizing your importer can be an important part of creating a satisfactory user experience. Whether you are using Flatfile Portal 2.0 or Flatfile Portal 3.0, there are a host of customization options available to you, as long as you know a little CSS.

Flatfile Portal 2.0

Since Flatfile Portal 2.0 exists on your hardware, the customization options are extremely varied. In Flatfile Portal 2.0, you can customize most of the elements of the Flatfile importer, including both global styles and individual components within the importer. You can change background colors, text colors, text font families and sizes, customize buttons, and even change headers. For more information about customizing Flatfile Portal 2.0, see our CSS documentation.

We also have a tool to help you customize your Portal 2.0 implementation: https://flatfile.pizza/

Flatfile Portal 3.0

Because Flatifle Portal 3.0 is a server-based solution to data onboarding, there are fewer customization options. However, you can still customize the font family, use TypeKit Project ID, and change the primary color. The "X" to close the Portal iframe can also be targeted with the .flatfile-close class to modify that exit button, if necessary.
