There can be several causes for a Data Hook failure. If one or more of your Data Hooks has failed to run in Portal 3.0 or Workspaces, you will see this message:

This message will appear if any of your Data Hooks fail, but it does not mean that they have all failed. If one of your Data Hooks has failed, the others will continue to run as expected.

You will need to reach out to whoever has access to write and edit Data Hooks in order to fully resolve this issue.

In Portal 3.0 and Workspaces, logs can be written that will show up on the left side of the Dashboard to help with troubleshooting the source of the failure in the Data Hook. For instructions on how to write logs, see our documentation here.

If a Data Hook fails to run in Portal 2.0, no error message is displayed, but in many cases the importer will fail to load. For this reason, data hooks should be thoroughly tested to ensure they work for all possible use cases.
